Changing Reality with Quantum Theory and Hypnosis
Judith Simon Prager, PhD Redondo Beach, CA

According to quantum physics, what we see "out there" is a Virtual Reality that we're creating with our brains every minute. And if so, we can alter it with our minds. As hypnotherapists, we have been intuiting and using that mutability from the beginnings of human imagination. Now, because of brilliant research by physicists, biologists, and neuroscientists, we have explanations of what is really happening. How can we use our minds, beyond our brains, to shift our experience and envision a new way of being? Dr. Prager will take us through a profound understanding of the nature of consciousness as primary. She will illuminate what is being discovered by neuroscientists about what parts of the brain are involved in compassion, in connection, in empathy, in love, and how those emotions affect our well being. And then she will show us how, as hypnotherapists, our interactions with consciousness and the superconscious can shift the paradigm.

Judith Simon Prager, PhD, is a certified clinical hypnotherapist with a PhD in psychology and a private practice where she specializes in trauma. She is co-author of The Worst Is Over: What To Say When Every Moment Counts, called "The ‘bible' for crisis communication," by The International Journal of Emergency Mental Health.

Wed., May 1, 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm $75.00
Autoimmune Diseases & Hypnotherapy: Taming The Chronic Illness Monster
Melissa Roth PhD, CHT Golden, CO

The most common cause of all diseases in the world today is autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases are currently ranked as the third biggest disease category in the US behind heart disease and cancer. Auto-immune diseases result when our natural protective mechanisms either go on strike or become confused and disoriented. Hypnotherapy can not only ease the burden of symptom management but, in many cases, it can eliminate the disease markers from the body. Learn what common illnesses are immune based and how to use the unconscious mind to re-educate the body to function normally again.

Melissa Roth specializes in medical applications of hypnotherapy, teaching and presenting at numerous conferences and training seminars on the subject.

Thurs., May 2, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm $150.00

PRACTICE EXPANDERS: The benefits and methods of integrating other modalities with hypnotherapy
Gaye Wilson, RN, MS El Dorado, CA

Many of us came into our hypnotherapy practices with other talents and skills in the art of helping others. This presentation will offer an opinion on what may be gained by utilizing other techniques in addition to hypnosis /hypnotherapy and then suggest some of the ways this may be done and has been done in this presenter's experience. Gaye has been in private hypnotherapy practice since 1996. As early as 1997 she began to integrate other techniques into her practice to enhance the effects of hypnotherapy and to have at hand a variety of approaches to better meet the needs of each individual client. These other modalities remain an integral part of Gaye's hypnotherapy practice to this day. If you are curious about how you might apply other techniques in your hypnotherapy office, this presentation can provide you with ideas you may easily and readily apply to your own practice.

Thurs., May 2, 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm $75.00
Advanced Analytical Hypnotherapy: power for clients to change their reality
Dr. John Butler PhD, MBSH, MBPsS, MA, BSc, BA, CCHT London, UK

Clients are often confused by their symptoms, whether psychosomatic or emotional. Their inability to understand themselves is distressing in itself, as they wonder if they will ever get "back to normal" again or achieve their goals in life. Hypnosis gives the client the additional necessary power to understand the connections which have led them to their problems, and to replace these with new connections for better results. Taking clients through this process thoroughly demands intense attention, engagement and skill from the hypnotherapist - each inner journey for each client is unique and need to be in-depth for results that are truly powerful and long-lasting. Dr. John Butler has been practicing hypnotherapy for over 30 years and has made advanced analytical hypnotherapy the core of his practice. If you are already practicing analytical hypnotherapy and would like to increase your skills in this area and maximize your practice, or you wish to start using it to expand your range with clients, this workshop is for you.

Dr. Butler has been a hypnotherapy educator to many healthcare and other professional groups for over 20 years. He trained extensively in psychological therapies, specialising in clinical hypnosis and co-taught with Gil Boyne in many masterclasses. He has taught medical psychology, clinical neuroscience and other subjects in medical education and made many media appearances speaking about clinical hypnosis. He is the clinical author of the popular book "Secrets of Hypnosis" and teaches hypnotherapy at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Britain and internationally.

History
In 1980, Gil Boyne founded the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, a non-profit professional organization engaging in self-regulation of all who use hypnotherapy as an integral part of a professional practice.

Membership
Since its inception in 1980, the A.C.H.E. has become an international organization. We have certified more than 13,000 Hypnotherapists and at present have more than 9,000 current, active certified members. Approximately one-third of these are physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and representatives of the healing arts professions.

Purpose
The primary focus of the A.C.H.E. is on formal and appropriate specialized education and training followed by a comprehensive written examination and practical demonstration of hypnosis skills before a Board of Examiners. A code of ethics and principles of practice were formulated and adopted by more than eight hundred new members in the first year of operation (1980).

Examination and Registration
Examination and registration are done by Regional Examining Boards, while certification is by the national parent body-the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. The Regional Councils are the result of the demand for full participation by the experienced and influential practitioners in other states. There are Regional Examining Councils covering most of the United States and Canada and affiliates in the United Kingdom and Australia.
